On 21 March, the 10th Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards were held at Stadium MK, marking a significant chapter in the history of the city’s coveted awards.
To mark this prestigious occasion, the event saw its largest attendance to date, with over 750 guests assembled inside The Marshall Arena to hear the 15 category winners announced on stage. The overall Business of the Year was won by Bletchley Park (pictured), who also took away the Culture & Arts award on the night. The judging panel commented on how the organisation had managed to successfully blend telling the stories of the past with showcasing the emerging technologies of the future…continually flying the flag for Milton Keynes on a truly global stage.
The celebrated Outstanding Contribution Award went to Louisa Hobbs, Operations Manager at the Milton Keynes Food Bank. Louisa has been a driving for force for change across Milton Keynes, having a profound impact on the community through some extremely challenging times. Her contagious energy, never-ending enthusiasm, timeless dedication, supportive leadership, and her overall vision for the charity is commendable.
The theme for this year’s awards was ‘Forever Innovative – Milton Keynes Leading the UK’s High-tech Future’ and many of the night’s winners had shown their ability to embrace and adopt emerging technologies to enhance their own business success.
Chair of MKBAA organisers Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership (MKBLP), Nicholas Mann, said, “In our 10th anniversary year, it has been incredible to welcome so many guests, making it our biggest ever awards. We had the highest number of entries this year as well, which goes to show the strength and depth within the Milton Keynes business community. Congratulations to all our winners and finalists, and a huge thank you to all our sponsors and partners, who all play a vital role in making the awards such a resounding success.”
